The basics

What is Ticgetz Gold?

Ticgetz Gold lets you buy, sell and redeem 24K digital gold and 999 silver online, starting from ₹10. The metal is bought through Augmont and held in your name in insured vaults until you sell it or take it home as coins.

What digital gold is

Buying gold

Are there making charges?

Not on digital gold. Every rupee you pay, less GST, buys metal. Making charges only come up if you redeem your balance as a coin or bar, and the product shows them before you pay.

How do I pay?

By UPI. Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments, and the gold is credited to your account in seconds.

Selling and taking delivery

Can I sell my gold at any time?

Yes. Sell at the live rate, any day, in a few taps, and the money goes to your bank account. There are no buyback deductions.

KYC and tax

Do I need KYC?

Not to start. KYC is required once your transactions cross the yearly limit, currently ₹1.8 lakh per financial year.

How is digital gold taxed?

3% GST when you buy, and capital gains tax on any profit when you sell. Under the July 2024 rules, gold held up to 24 months is a short-term gain, added to your income and taxed at your slab rate; held longer, it is a long-term gain taxed at 12.5% without indexation. This is general information, not tax advice.
